How we made Wilson’s tennis ball the story of the French Open – with over 14 million views

The challenge

Wilson and Roland Garros were looking for a trailer that would announce the French Open 2024 worldwide. The challenge: to tell an emotional story that focuses on Paris and the tennis ball – and perfectly combines real film and 3D images.

The solution

We developed a hybrid trailer in which real film and 3D images merge seamlessly. Wilson’s tennis ball became the star, bouncing through Paris – supported by impressive CGI effects.

The trailer was broadcast worldwide on YouTube, Meta and Instagram for two consecutive years, shown in the live stream and presented on the stadium screens before each match.

Impact

With over 14 million views in 2024 and over 14 million views in 2025, the trailer reached a global audience several times over on Instagram alone, made Wilson and Roland Garros visible and put the French Open on the map worldwide.
